Braden gets an invite to go on a student ambassador trip!

Braden got another invitation to go on a student ambassador.org trip.
This is the second year in a row, so we are very proud of him!
The trip is to Scotland and England next spring.
We are going to the informational meeting next month to see what the trip entails.
It sounds very cool, but we are very nervous about him going overseas!
We'll see how it goes....

Dinner at Weideker Village

We met Nana and Papa at Weideker Village for dinner last week.
It is always delicious.
It's like eating in a storybook cottage.
So cute and cozy inside.
We all like the dripping candles in the wine bottles on the tables.
It's just fun to be there!
The chocolate cheesecake was unbelievably good.
Nana and Papa started the boys a penny collection.
They are hooked and we are driving the bank crazy with our penny roll requests.
(We've got $100 in pennies to pick up tomorrow)
I bet Braden sorts through all of them in three days.
He's on a mission and can't be stopped!
They also brought us some trout that they caught in Wyoming.
And green chiles from Taos that are hotter than you-know-what!
But sooooo good.

We'll miss you Miss Nancy!

One of our favorite librarians has moved to West Virginia to get married.
We are so sad for us, but so happy for her.
She made going to the library so much fun!

Nashville pics

We spent five days in Nashville with Summer and Stuart in August.
It was so much fun.
We were constantly busy, so I didn't take many pictures.
And most of the trip revolved around eating.
The Cheesecake Factory and the Mellow Mushroom are our favorites.
And we got some fantastic gourmet meals to warm up from Whole Foods in Green Hills.
That store is like Christmas.
We bought Craig a fancy caramel cake (late bday) that was absolutely fantastic.
It was eaten so quickly, I didn't take a picture.
I was afraid I wouldn't get any.  ;-)
On the last morning, we went to Loveless Cafe.
It was delicious and gluttonous!
Our drive home was filled with many Nascar trucks taking the cars to a race.
Ethan was in heaven!
Tony Stuart and Dale, Jr. were his favorites.
Gibson even knew who Tony Stuart was.
I have no clue where they learned about Nascar drivers!
They thought it was awesome.
It was pretty exciting to see the trucks.

Pinnacle pics

We hiked Pinnacle Mountain recently.
It was absolutely gorgeous on top.
I am so ready for autumn.
It's my favorite time of year.
The boys and I had a class on how to nature journal.
We were the only four people who showed up, so it was fantastic.

another soccer game

Braden had his first games over the weekend.
His team is the Gunners.
He is the green number 38.
They played two games and they won both of them!
He had tons of fun and played well.

Soccer time~

Gibson had his first soccer game this weekend.
As the picture shows, he was beside himself with excitement.
His team is the Dolphins and they ended up with blue uniforms, which is perfect!
There are five kids on his team.
He scored three goals, the first one immediately after I stopped filming, of course.
He jumped up and down the entire time, gulped Cheetos and a Caprisun at halftime, then threw up 5 minutes after the game.
Cheetos and soccer do not mix~
He can't wait to do it again!
