Yeah~~~~~~~~
He is beyond excited.
I'm so proud of him!
We are using Explode the Code 1.5 and the McGuffeys primer set next.
He took the first spelling test, to see if he was ready to do it, and he made 100%.

Dad Turns 60 part 2

We made pizza.  Homemade pizzas.  They were uber-good!  We didn't get pictures of all of the family helping, but everyone pitched in and contributed to the yummy end product.  Then the boys opened another present, which ended up being another weapon.  Looks like I'll be on safety patrol for the next 10 years..........So sorry that you ended up sick, Stu!

Dad Turns 60 part 1

My dad turned 60 this month.  My sisters planned for us all getting together at our house to surprise him  and spend the weekend together.  It was great!  The boys got bb guns for Christmas.  (As you can see, my dad and Stuart, my brother in law, are wondering if that was such a good idea.)  The boys are so excited and Ethan has memorized the safety manual already.  He is chomping at the bit to go and try it out.  My sister Summer is with the boys in the picture above.

The Real Santa and leprechaun laughs

We saw the real santa at Bass Pro Shop.  He even brought a few stuffed reindeer with him! ;-)
All three boys look the part in these hats, Ethan IS the part.  He's funny......

Silver Dollar City at Christmas

We love coming here at Christmas.  It was very special because my parent met us there for the day.  We saw the Nativity show and the Christmas Carol.  We rode the train in the dark and enjoyed the lights.  Craig and Ethan rode the coasters.  Gib and I rode the kiddie coaster.  We drank cocoa and loved eating the succotash.  As we were leaving, the temperature dropped 20 degrees in 20 minutes.  The wind was howling, as you can see in the pictures! It dropped below freezing  and stayed cold for the rest of our trip.

Big Cedar Lodge part 5

We swam and played on the playground several times.  The gingerbread house behind the kids was amazing!  So detailed and huge.  200 pounds of powdered sugar were used to make it.  The rooms here are very homey and nice.  As you can tell, we enjoyed ourselves.

Big Cedar Lodge part 4

The 'not real santa' and his mrs. were there.  The pictures were good, the wind was frigid and the lights were beautiful.  The boys were not impressed with the fake beard and wig.  The Worman house (a.k.a. the North Pole) was perfectly decorated for day and night.

Big Cedar Lodge part 3

It is so beautiful there!  We enjoyed everything about our trip.  This bear is in the Great Falls Lodge.  So is the pretty fireplace.  The views are nice no matter where you look.

Big Cedar Lodge part 2

Another day communing with the horses.  Then we walked the entire grounds and took a ton of pictures.  I had a genius idea to climb a tree, got stuck for awhile, then finally got positioned for a picture.  It was great fun, once I realized that I wasn't going to fall on my head!  Won't be trying that again anytime soon...... Lynne, I need to get a copy of the video that you took!

Big Cedar Lodge part 1

We arrived at Big Cedar Lodge in Branson on Dec. 12th.  The sunset was amazing our first night!  The weather was typical for December.  We had a wonderful time.  Our friends from Little Rock came up for the weekend.  I took the boys to see the horses at the stable while Craig, Lynne and Zol went to the store to load up on groceries.

Thanksgiving with the Young family

We had dinner at Grandma Berry's house.  It was delicious and tons of family was there.  I'm so glad that we got to see everyone!

dinner at Grandma's

Dinner is always beautiful at Grandma's house.  So yummy!

Thanksgiving with my family

We went to Grove for Thanksgiving.  It was great.  Jean went with us, his family is in Rwanda.
The boys did a great Noah's Ark puzzle that they got from their Aunt Gwyn.

Breakfast and reading time

Gibson helps me make a big breakfast and then Ethan reads a few books to Gib.  He loves to read book after book to him.  It's a great help to me!
